The only decrease in radio traffic that I've detected in the Shoals Area is no more driver license & license plate checks from wreck scenes. Troopers input and upload all that information from vehicle.
In some cases troopers also query traffic stop information from vehicle as well. Contact with Post from a stop more often than not involves suspensions, revocations, etc. & warrants.
I'm still hearing crash dispatches regularly. One thing that irritates me is a digital signal from somewhere busting in on 154.8075 MHz. That's mostly from my residence (Western Colbert County) on an analog scanner connected to an outside pole mounted antenna.
Post location names replacing 'ALEA North' is something else I've noticed.
