Alinco DJ-X2000 Questions

Hello,
I am looking into purchasing this radio, but I had a few questions.

1) I noticed that I can't find an AC adapter for this anywhere. Does one even exist?

2) Is it worth the extra $80 to go to a 1200 mAH battery pack?

My friend answered the first question for me. He said that I could get something from walmart to use with it.

The second question I kind of know the answer to. I know of course that it will be better, but the real question is _how_ much better? If it just gives me an extra 30 minutes of battery life then I won't mess with it.
