Instalert receiver info needed

Just picked up a couple of Instalert low band receivers, both working nicely on 33.86 MHz and in pretty decent condition. One is the model with the little mechanical "flag" in a window that gives visual notice of an alert, and the other is essentially the same but with a lamp rather than the little flag.

I'd like to tune these up for somewhat better sensitivity (right now they're in the neighborhood of 1-1.5uV for 20dB SINAD) but have never seen any documentation on them. Anyone got any idea where docs can be scared up?

You might try a local company that I think is still in business in Columbus, Comteck. They used to operate out of the MUSICOL recording studio on East North Broadway and I think they may have been a dealer. Ed, K8VKA took over the business several years ago and I don't know where he runs it from or for sure if he is still around.
