Mtune means you are changing the frequency or mode while in Memory mode. To switch from mtune mode you can turn the the channel/memory select knob or copy the frequency to VFO A or B.
If you are on memory channel 1 that is set for 14,313 MHz and turn the dial the radio automatically switches to mtune mode so you don't have to copy and switch to VFO A or B.

To get back to regular Memory mode, press the V/M button to the right of the tuning knob.

MTUNE

My MTUNE just started showing on power up and it didn't do that before. How do I get it to stop going directly to MTUNE.

I really hate to say this, but did you read the posts above? Especially from Dave?

Yes I did. That will change it back but don't stop it from going back to
mtune on startup. Again. Every time I turn my radio on it goes directly to mtune.
It didn't do that before. The above solution did not fix my problem.
