TM V71 Odd split

I am trying to store an odd repeater split in a memory channel (ie. Tx on UHF/ Rx on VHF). I know how to store an odd split, but can't get it to take. I have done this on a Yaesu HT, but not sure if this is possible on the Kenwood TMV71. Any help is appreciated.

Some of the Kenwoods won't accept a crossband odd-split, the 2 HT's that I have won't(TH-D72, TH-F6)

It is usually mentioned in the manual on the page where the instructions are for programming an odd split
