I recently purchased a Yaesu FTM350AR to mount in a 2009 Ford Escape. It comes only with a suction cup mounting bracket that fastens to the back of the remote head. My preference is not to use the suction cup. I have a proclip bracket that I have fastened to the top of the dash. I am looking for an adaptor of some sort to connect the remote head to the Proclip bracket. Has anybody here done such an install and what did you use? Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I would get one of the control head mounts from Pro-fit to solve this. I like the lo boy mount but they have others as well.

You could get one of there mounts and attach it to the proclip.

They also have vehicle specific mounts for the 2009 Escape.

If you can't find a commercially available mount to suit you, you could always make one. How does that suction-cup mount attach to the head? (You can tell I don't have a FTM350AR!) From there, it's just a matter of imagination...
