VX8 beacon transmit without GPS

I set my location manually, on VFO B, and it doesn't seem to want to transmit a beacon... or a message...

Any insight...?

aprs modem on? if its like the vx8g there should be A12 on the screen. also is your digi path set? should have at least WIDE1-1 or WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 or WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2. And is is your position set to manual ?

You also need the squelch on to TX, if you can even hear noise the HT won't TX

Had beacon set to auto, apparently auto beacon disables beacon when the gps isnt attached... Setting to manual beacon fixed it.
