MFJ speaker mics = Mighty Fine Junk

Ok, so I purchased a Wouxun speaker mic for my UVD1P, and 3 of them went out, so I received a MFJ 296K with volume control. Upon first opening the thing, the speaker was extremely distored, so I sent it back 2 days later, and got another, to have the same problem, so I sent it back again. I than bought a 295K from a friend who bought one, but it was still in the box unused. Plugged it in, and like answer to my prayers it worked.....for a week. Than a wire broke in the connector, because there is no strain relief. So I send it back, and yesterday received another 296K.....once again, same problem, bad speaker, and not looking very optimistic towards getting the 295K back. What is the deal MFJ? I am not happy at all....5 mics, same problems.....

To be honest I have never bought any speaker mics from MFJ, I usually stay away from the cheap aftermarket mics because of the fact they are cheap, usually pretty crappy speaker and crappy cheap cords that break easy.
