Fixing low HF output on a 706 (DAP222TL and 2SC4081 T107 on the filter board were bad).

I've been able to source DAP222TL but it seems all the usual places are out of 2SC4081 T107 (out of production) and the only place that does have it will only take orders of 500+

Is there any equivalent to this part?

Mouser has a 2SC4081 T106 which appears to have the same specs, but I'd rather not chance it. Does anyone here know if T106 works in the T107's place?

It appears as though the 2SC4081 is a general purpose transistor.

The T106 vs. T107 refers to the packaging. I don't know what the T107 looks like specifically but it is hard to imagine it looks much different than the 3 lead style of the 106. I'd buy the T107 and be sure the seller provides the spec sheet for it.

Thanks for the heads up on that company. Just sent them an email.

On another note, I looked further at the datasheet (2SC4081T107/R PDF Datasheet - ROHM Co., Ltd. - Datasheets360.com) and found out what the difference is.

ShawnInPaso got it right on. Apparently T106 and T107 are the exact same thing - the only differentiation between the two is how they're oriented on the tape reel (T106 faces one direction, T107 faces the other). Not really applicable for someone buying one or two but a big difference on the assembly line.

Looks like 2SC4081 T106 is the replacement then.

Thanks all for the replies!
