Has anyone had this issue?

I have a Ft-7800 in my wife's jeep and for some reason when i try to lock the weather alert function out and it does until I turn off the radio and then back on again. I have also locked each wx freq in the weather alert and also disable the weather alert scan and it works until the radio is turned off. Also some of the other freqs that I have skipped during a scan are not skipped anymore.

I have reset the radio and reprogrammed it again but no change. I haven't tried doing a reset and manually programming freqs, and that will be a lot of freqs to program manually.

I have a second 7800 in the kitchen and I have never turned on the wx alert function on that radio and I have never had that problem.
Thanks

Anyone have any suggestion about what might be causing this issue. Could it be the battery in the unit?
Look at my first post.

The 7800 doesn't have a backup battery.
It may be the way you have hypermemories set up. See page 38 in the users manual.
Check Menu 17 HYPER. Set it to manual.
