Hello All

Got 2 mics from 2 radios. Both are the same age. Icom jack on the left, Btech 25x2 on the right. Icom is just the cable stuck into the connector and falling apart. Right one is close to the same as the left but made much better with the connector sealed and a nice finish. Too bad Icom quality seems to be going down hill.

Is the Icom still under warranty? Have you contact Icom about this?

BTW, you are referring to a plug. The jack is the port on the radio that the mic cable plugs into.

Using telephone plugs was the worst decision ever made but they did it to save money

Best thing you can do is use commercial mics that have replaceable cords and keep one in stock
