I'm a new Ham.

I'm trying to access the WIRES network via my FT60. The manual goes into detail about Vertex and WIRES 2. Then I see that WIRES 2 has been discontinued and replaced with WIRES X. I've searched the entire manual and did a number of Google searches and can't find anything about FT60 and WIRES X.

Can the FT60 use WIRES X or any other Internet connectivity services?

Many thanks.

The FT-60 is an analog only radio and WIRES-X is part of Yaesu's System Fusion digital mode. The two will not work together.

You could use the FT-60 with Echolink, IRLP or a system of interlinked repeaters such as the WIN System on the west coast.
