Default VX-7R - Turning off dual watch?

I have a dumb question for fellow VX-7R users...

I have never used the "dual watch" feature on my radio before and decided to try it last night. Now, I can't turn it off.

I tried repeating the button sequence (MON/F + 2/DW) and power cycling the radio. I think I tried pressing the PTT button as well. I went to the manual and the only thing I find is how to activate the feature (pg. 61 - http://www.radiomanual.info/schemi/V...X7R_user.pdf); I find nothing on how to disable it.

I'm sure there is a simple way to turn the DW off, I'm just not finding it.

Thanks!

I had a vx8 and took the time to review the manual for the 7 and 8.

Two thoughts but can’t act on either one. 1st the key stroke to turn on is a toggle and can be used to turn off, but likely that has been tried with negative result. 2nd, dual watch is about checking a priority channel. Turn priority off for that channel. I’m thinking when I had the 8 there was something that at least one had to be checked on. Hoping it’s not a requirement that one channel had to be identified as priority. :-)

Good luck!
Mike

Thanks for the reply and I was able to figure it out.

The manual was worthless, but I found the answer in my Nifty Mini-Manual. I had to press the "V/M" button to disable dual watch.
