Default IC-706MKIIG handle needed.

Can't find the MB-72 handle that fits the 706MKIIG. Not new or used. Anyone?

Have you called Icom parts department in Seattle? Make sure you have the Icom part number when you call, otherwise they’ll have a hard time knowing what you need.

I thought all parts for the 706 were out of production so I had not asked. I took your advice and did so just now. We shall see. Thanks.

Got a reply from Icom today. The handle is "NLA". No longer available.

Back to the drawing board.

You may try messaging some of the people on Ebay parting out radios and see if they have one that they haven't listed.

Put in a wanted request at QRZ.com in the for sale area. Yes, you indicate wanted items there as well.

Another spot is eHam.net in their classified section.
