mobile transceiver 2m with a wide receive.

I am looking at purchasing a transceiver for my vehicle. I transmit on 2m 99% of the time. I currently own the CS800D but dont use DMR as much as I thought i would. I have been looking at the Yaesu FT7900 but still haven't made the purchase. listed below is what i am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Brand: any reputable.

Band: TX ( 2M )
RX ( 108-549 mhz)

Detachable face is necessary.

Price is also a factor. I cant spend lots of money.

I owned the FT-7800R before loaning it to a friend. It was a rock solid radio, so I would only expect the same from the 7900.

Do you want detachable face or remotable head? where the body is in the trunk or elsewhere with just the head and mic in the passenger compartment ,or just to remove the face so they steal the radio but not the face ? Obviously the remotable mounting head will do both but there are radios that you just detache the face So they can steal the radio but not the head ?which one is it that you want ?
