I programmed 2 FT-70's using the ADMS-10 free software and with CHIRP. The problem was that whenever I wanted to select a bank that I had programmed I got an error saying "No Bnk." No matter what I did I could never get it to work. I even reloaded the firmware.
It turns out that both programs are defective (as far as I can tell). I bought the RT Systems software (already had the cable) and tried it again. It works!
Just posting this for anyone who is having the same problem. You get what you pay for with "free" software.
