Thanks to all for your comments. EMD: My "official" address is LA, but we spend lots of time out west and also south of the border. But I'll be near the WM, LA repeater in July. Are all the repeaters listed on the Saltgrass site linked?

I am just getting in to all this. I've been in Tucson the last couple of days and have been listening to the WIN system on a repeater here. I've heard California, Nevada, Texas, Arizona, New Zealand, Australia, and the U.K. all via an IRLP node on 70cm. It's amazing to think you can talk around the world with an HT and VOIP!
