AOR AR-DV1 - External Speaker??

I've just purchased an AR-DV1 receiver, and have only had it a few days. The internal speaker seems to be okay, but just okay. Has anyone had success with a external speaker?

I noticed on FM or listening to the FM BCB, audio appears to be okay, but on the AM BCB or AM it could be better, sounds a little tinny to me.

Just wanted find out if someone is using a external speaker, and how are the results. Thanks.

I have a couple of Vertex (MLS-100) speakers I use on a couple of my scanners. When use them with my AR-DV1, helps quite a bit. Much better audio quality.

I actually have one of those ( Vertex MLS-100 ) It's one of the few I did not try, I'll give that a go and see how it sounds. I have been looking for a balance of sound, in other words, a speaker that sounds good on AM, and FM. Some sound excellent on the FM Broadcast band, and don't sound good on AM, and vice versa.
