That was written by John Philip Sousa in 1896. In 1987 It was adopted by US Marine Corp as their official song. You tube John Philip Souse for some more of his marching songs.

The last time I heard it played was during Donald Trump's inauguration, I half expected Clint Eastwood and Marsha Mason to walk past arm in arm..

According to a comparison chart released by AOR, the DV10 will support APCO 25 Phase II.

In a recent press release dated 12/1 AOR apologized for the delay.

According to a German website, the receiver should be out in January of 2018.

And Phase II P25 is only available in trunking, if I remember correctly. So is it too soon to say wake up!

Thumbs up Also at AOR France

You can find some other details about the receiver there:
AOR AR DV10 SDR Recepteur numerique large bande ARDV10

I had a chance to make some test with this DV10 at AOR France workshop.
I saw COSPAS-SARSAT capability. COSPAS feature is only a French Add on.
This radio is quite amasing.

As they told me the radio would be ready for sales more around end of Q1 rather than January.

My last AOR I purchased sometime ago was a AOR 5000+3, still have it. THe ARDV10 might be the next. it looks very interesting, but expensive. Like to see the manual. Is there a japanese version around?

There's some conflicting information floating around.

In the comparison chart that AOR published at Hamfest Japan they indicated that digital trunking will be added "soon". I'm assuming they meant as a firmware update later on.

After looking at the French website posted above, they mention "conventional mode" only.

Then the website from the UK states that it's going to have both phase 1 and 2.

Either way, the only way I could justify paying $1000 USD, for example, is if it had trunking capability and had very good selectivity in VHF and UHF.

I'm intrigued by the Cospas-Sarsat feature. Are you sure it didn't reference GLONASS or Galileo or COMPASS?

I just find it odd that Search and Rescue capability would be built into a receiver. If anything, it would make more sense to have it built into a transceiver for when you're hiking or out in the wilderness.

Icom's IC-R30, for example, is claimed to have a built in GPS receiver to tag frequencies and recordings.

I don't think it will be built into the receiver, just baseband audio fed to a third party program on a PC..

As the COSPAS feature is a AOR France option, I'm not sure it will be available for other countries. Better to ask to AOR France.
