What does "AUT" and "DUP" mean

I love my AOR 8200 MK3 but don't understand some of what comes up on the screen, such as "AUT" and "DUP."

AUT is automatic mode and stepping per band plan in the radio, sometime the loaded band plan does not always conform to what is used in your area.

DUP lets you listen to the other frequency when you are listening to frequencies that are paired for repeater use or sometimes full duplex communications
