DPS and Peoria PD are searching for a suspect south and west of the 101 and Peoria after a high speed chase on the 101 from Thunderbird. The stolen camaro crashed at Peoria, and two suspects bailed out on foot. One was quickly detained, but a second possibly armed subject is still at large.
Firebird just replaced DPS Ranger. Several news choppers have been overhead as well.
Peoria Ave is restricted westbound from the 101.
A news chopper woke me up at 6:45am. Time now 7:45am.
