I know that it would take a bit of work but has anyone pulled up the FCC licenses looking for new frequencies for this new system? I know a while back the weekly grant email mentioned some new channels for them but I can't find it to save my life. Wondering if there is anything out there that would be a result of this new setup.
Correlating frequencies for the new system via the FCC licenses will be a little more tricky than a lot of the new systems as they are reusing frequencies from the old system on the new system. They also don’t appear to be very accurate on their frequency licensing. Take a look at the reported new control channel frequencies for the Mingus site:
855.6375 – Not licensed to Mingus Mtn.
857.4125 – Was used by old system Mingus Mtn site.
860.3875 – Not licensed to Mingus Mtn. Not even licensed to APS!
860.8125 – Not Licensed to Mingus Mtn. Not even licensed to APS!
Many of the licenses were updated March 1, 2017. The link below consolidates the APS licenses. You can sort by columns such as city or county to help narrow down licenses in your area. Use this as a guide to verify what you find.

Search 850-861mhz with your scanners and look for P25 control channels or P25 voice. P25 control channels sound different from the existing Motorola Control channels when you listen to the noise. Once you identify a control channel for system “00a”, then you can run the control channel through tools like Analyze in the HP1/2, Pro96Com, or Unitrunker to determine all the control channels, voice frequencies, and talkgroups once they start testing.
