Ok, I deprecated the old Motorola trunk system.

I had a chance to run DSD+ against the new CAP+ TRS. It is full time encryption on all talk groups.

I sat for an hour in the cell phone lot and worked out four of the LCNs for the new TRS. There's a couple more, so if someone wants to figure out LCN 03 and LCN 04, groovy.

During that hour I heard, snippets of conversation in the clear, four times. Nowhere near enough to identify talkgroups.

Suffice it to say, AA ground ops at Phoenix/Sky Harbour are gone for all intents and purposes.

Same thing happened to AAL at SFO. Full time encryption on new DMR system.

Thanks

Oh well, we enjoyed the old system. I flew into Term 4 last night. Had a chance to listen to one of the DMR radios that an agent had. Sounded like crap. What a poor alternative.

I will agree there. I was in another area for AA and was hearing one of their radios blaring. Quality seemed to be lacking ....
