Anyone else hearing the medical dispatch bleedover on 462.575? I'm out in Goodyear. Female voice is dispatching what sounds like non emergency medical transport. Pickup locations are local to the valley here, as well as the destinations. What's odd is the repeater tail. I know there is a GMRS repeater on 575 on Towers Mountain, but don't know of any on that frequency here in the valley.

Yeah, that's a thing. Also heard this on the XPR5550, which is what caught my attention.

Got more of the same today, Central IF and East IF frequencies carrying the same traffic that was bleeding over on 462.575 was keying the GMRS repeater. Verified from another GMRS user on the opposite side of the county. Whats interesting, the two SWA frequencies of 460.1 and 460.925 don't always key the GMRS repeater.

Since it was reported, hasnt happened again, but I've got it parked on 462.575 anyhow. Had another GMRS user report hearing it in a third part of the county. The scanner alerted him to it.

I heard it a day or two during August, after this thread was started, on my PSR-500, but only when I was out and about in Peoria/Glendale, not at home here in Peoria.

I'm just south of anthem, it was loud and clear today. The other two guys are south west, was in Goodyear and Buckeye.

I changed antennas from the RS 800 MHz to a Diamond RH77CA and moved my scanner a little bit to see if I pick it up again.

I have been hearing this for weeks. No PL is coming from the Towers repeater when it is happening, but then some of the user PL's on the system also do not retransmit.

It appears to be just the dispatcher and there is some distortion. My guess is that the ambulance's control station is throwing a spur and getting into the Towers receiver.

I don't know if 460.1 and 460.925 are patched, but using 2 scanners I hear her on all three at the same time when it happens

Those 2 produce a 5th order hit of 462.575.

Kinda what I was thinking, something along those lines. Maybe contact them and see if they can check it out on their end? It's quite annoying.

If it is in your receiver, inserting a 3 dB pad in line should reduce it significantly by 9 dB. 6 dB pad = 18 dB, etc. If it is on their TX end, they need to fix it with proper isolator panel and filter.

Well, the noise is definitely going thru the repeater, so the ambulance transmissions are being made on 467.575 not 462.575 (unless there is some weird link involved). It also seems to be just the dispatcher, not mobile units.

They are real-time so it is not a simplex repeater situation.

I can hear the 460.1 and 462.575 repeaters simultaneously. I have not listened for the 460.925 one.

Could the ambulance dispatcher be talking on two control stations at the same time (467.1 and 467.925) and if so could these combine to have a hit on 467.575?

The other thought...

Where is the Repeater [GMRS] located.
Is it at the same site as the Dispatch ?

Could be an issue at the Repeater site...

This one is a bit out of pocket for SWA I would think since it's in Crown King, but that would be a possible. Need to take some time and check FCC license for tower sites I suppose.
