Looks like they are all taking Southern shortcut off Mass area for Lajes.
so bad luck for AR20 today.
Lajes gonna be busy with 4 fighter groups and tankers coming in today.
So far seems GOLD 31,41 with Retro 81,91 UAE fighters from Nellis via Shaw yesterday

GOLD 61,62,71,72 with VFMA Hornets MAZDA11,21 groups for Lajes.

Oh well...I see three tankers near Boston at this time. GOLD31/41 and HORSE18...all KC-10s. Some weak comms on 396.200mhz.

You're getting position data Look? I didn't know that was available for military planes.

I'm getting overlapping coverage from multiple stations. They all converge on Boston. Not quite as good as Mlat, but gives me an idea of where they are,

Ah ok. Thanks! Just a side note, we are looking at houses today. First steps to getting out of the concrete apt and into something more RF friendly.

Default My Coronet VHF Logs from Maine

Here is my VHF Center comms from Maine regarding this mornings Coronet flights. That's all I had. Too far South of me for any UHF Coronet freqs to be heard.

1338z 139.875 GOLD 62 and GOLD 72 on McGuire Interplane, "We got direct RIFLE in the block 25-26".
1359z 125.925 GOLD 41 wkg NY Center (ZNY) He ID'ed his flight as, "one KC-10 and three Mirage 2000s". Estimate DOVEY 1413z, Coronet East 047 Altrav.
1402z 128.750 GOLD 41 check in with ZBW in the block 220-240.
1402z 128.750 GOLD 71 (via LiveATC feed) Boston Center (ZBW) tells GOLD 71 to have the MAZDA flight on the outside of his wing to squawk 0716
1407z 128.750 GOLD 71 wkg ZBW, asks what HF freq NY is using today. (Response heard via LiveATC) ZBW tells GOLD 71 that he will get that via a VHF freq with NY before he leaves the area.
1412z 125.925 GOLD 71 flight check in with ZNY, "in the block 250-270, one KC-10, five F-18s, and one KC-135 in trail".
1416z 128.750 GOLD 41 wkg ZBW (heard via Live ATC), ZBW asks, "confirm you are one KC-10 and three Mirages?", "Affirmative, Sir".
1419z 125.925 GOLD 41 flight check in with ZNY, block 220-240. "us plus three. RETRO 91 flight". Estimate DOVEY 1433z.

AE012F 79-1950 GOLD41 2013-03-03 13:56:42 KC-10A United States USAF | 60AMW [KSUU]
B18269 57-2603 GOLD71 2013-03-03 13:56:20 KC-135R United States AFRC | 452AMW | 336ARS [KRIV]

These are most likely part of the mission as well showing old callsigns in their mode-s:
AE0217 83-0080 HORSE18 2013-03-03 13:29:35 KC-10A United States USAF | 60AMW [KSUU] (confirmed by Mark to be GOLD 72)
AE0226 86-0027 TEAM40 2013-03-03 13:23:19 KC-10A United States USAF | 305AMW [KWRI] (most likely GOLD 62 according to Mark)

This guy is most likely the UAE Mirage support C-17 coming up from the South right now. Nothing on the radios from him yet.

Great logs Ed. I was pretty sure there were Mirages involved. Would have been nice to have that group fly overhead. Comms were weak here. They switched to HF...sounded like PRI:11396 and SEC: 8846 (I may be off a bit on the exact freq but it's close)

Default BLUE 67 / Retro17

BLUE67 (KC 10 82-0191) passed over to Moncton Center from Gander at 13:30 AST. Should have a RETRO17 flight with him of 2 or 3 fighters (F-15s?).
It's a beautiful clear sky...good day for spotting. I'm in the office and LiveATC for ZQM is down
Check the following freqs:259.600, 294.800. Cheers!

No fighters but he was on Alpha freq IIRC talking to someone.. I waited a few mins on the deck but saw no contrails besides his and I think if the F-15s were below the contrail leaving alt I woulda heard their engines.

They (fighters) must have taken the scenic route. My guess would be over NB and Northern Maine to meet with the other tankers. Absolute clear skies down my way...but nothing to see
Was there any mention of a RETRO flight by Moncton Center?
