Awesome! They'll be approaching from the non window side of my apartment which gives me much less warning if they're even talking, I may have to arrange to be outside in the cold when they arrive. They have 16:00-19:00 (Zulu) reserved today, 1pm-4pm Atlantic. I don't know that I've seen a block that size booked before.

Also just heard Gander at 1500z talking to RAMA 41
single B-1 meeting ETHYL tanker at AR20. ETHYL 07 #58-0060 Pa ANG
Prob inbound US from Spain.

The SJ F-15E's heard down here weak on their squad freq 335.700.
Heard talk of runway conditions and landing so maybe they are stopping up there
somewhere.

1545z RAMA 41 and BLUE 23 both told to contact Moncton Ctr 118.600

Yeah I wasn't sure what either would sound like, they're both a lot of loud motors. Biig cloud over Sackville blocked the view anyway. Swears!!! I've missed a lot of stuff over the last 6 days, I have to keep looking at my E-4 catch to keep my spirits up :-P

Thanks for the info, and heads up Mark!

Its weird, in reviewing the recordings, I have over a minute of straight static, then what I'm pretty sure was the Rama flight, no sign, or sound of F-15s...and that bumms me out..

I heard that too lol, they were talking pretty casual on that flight...I had the recording, but my computer took a crap just before I got to save it.

Heads up, since its a nice sunny day, there should be a flight coming thru in the next hour or 2, according to the SUA. Its scheduled for 12 local. There is also one scheduled for 6 local.

Aww dang, I would have liked to hear that one, musta been some exchange pilot or something. No clouds, that's great, I'll be looking and listening! Doesn't seem to be a contrail around at all today, things are difficult to spot. Flightaware says there are a few commercial flights around but I haven't seen one yet. I'm hoping to get my camera manually set on a 757 so it can be ready for if anything shows up. It seems like setting the focus to infinity doesn't produce sharp results.

*Gasp*! Thanks Ed I heard one B-1 yesterday going SW and he was loud, 3 should be cool! Hope they're still talking on Pri when they approach us, it's kinda cold to be out on the desk gazing for too long.

I'm losing them now on the radios so they are probably near Nova Scotia now. Should still be tanking by the time they reach you.

There is three tankers and three B-1s now.

341.75 AR-20NE
343.0 BONEs air to air

May also use AR-20 secondary freq of 349.7 too

I hope you get some good photos!!

Good luck! Wish I were there!

I only saw one pairing and they were well north of me - outside of camera range. They must be separated into groups, I only caught one of them.

Thanks Darryl.

Hey, at least you saw them! Look at the bright side of it. :-)

Last I heard, they did split off into three groups refueling. Would have been cool to see them all together though.
