I can't seem to get anyone to ship to the U.S.

I did look into the EU or U.K. Version, but because of their new air and reconfiguration, the scanner does 8.33 KHz steps between 118 - 137.

We still use 25 and 12.5 KHz here in the US and I think you do too in Australia.

That's why I wasn't too thrilled about getting the Euro version.

I just don't understand why Uniden America had to cripple the 125. It's a shame really.

You can reconfigure steps on ANY of them, just get Scanner and change settings to your requirements

Check Scan125 software kindly provided by Nick Bailey (thank you Nick) http://nick-bailey.co.uk/scan125/download/ you can actually change Band stepping on selected models only Band Step and Modulation Settings (UBC125XLT and AE125H only)Scroll down to "Band Step and Modulation Settings (UBC125XLT and AE125H only" or email Mr Bailey for advice. Looks like you can change to 12.5 in search mode, Personally I dont think it would stop me to buy the scanner anyway. I am using UBC126AT with Watson W901 Air Band antenna.
