Maxtrac to Pi

Has anyone used a maxtrac with discriminator audio to a raspberry pi ? I use this on one of my feeds but the level is way to hot on the pi and i cannot determine a way to lessen the input on the usb sound card.

what about an in line L-Pad attenuator? Speaker L-Pad Attenuator 15W Mono 3/8" Shaft 8 Ohm

Does your Maxtrac have the 16 pin connector? Pin 11is filtered audio squelched and fixed line level,
Pin 1 in the mic connector is headset audio. (note Motorola numbers pins backwards as # 8)

Its a 16 pin. I just built a little circuit on a project board (vr, cap, resister). Had just hoped I could adjust it on the board. I'll tear about a spare when i have time and see if i can lowever the level at some point. The discriminator is way to hot for the USB card being i cannot adjust it. I had hoped there would be a way to adjust the input level as it does in windows, but i like the simplicity of the pi
