Broadcastify Maintenance Outage Scheduled for Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 between 00:01 AM and 06:00 AM CST
One of our service providers will be moving 4 of our audio servers to a new rack as part of scheduled maintenance on November 9th, 2016 between 00:01 AM and 06:00 AM CST. The affected servers are:
audio2 - (relay broadcast server)
audio5 - (relay broadcast server)
audio7 - (relay broadcast server)
audio9 - (master audio receiver)
Each server will be offline for about 30 minutes during the move of the physical hardware. It might happen at once, it might happened in a staggered process.
The potential impact on feeds:
With audio9 being down for about 30 minutes during that time frame, those live audio feeds will be offline during that time frame for 30 minutes or more.
With 3 out of 4 relay servers being offline for 30 minutes or more, delays in accessing broadcast streams will most likely happen
With 3 out of 4 relay servers being brought offline and then back online, customers could expect to see multiple disconnects for streams they are listening to
We plan to bring two additional hot standby servers online tomorrow as temporary relays to mitigate the impact of the loss of the current relays during the time frame.
We will rotate these into the infrastructure during the day tomorrow.
