Question about Police Scanner Archves

Hey everyone,

Thank you for allowing me to register. I am an independent documentary filmmaker working on a new project, and I am looking for someone who might be able to help me locate a Police Dispatch Recording for a specific date in 2014. The local jurisdiction in question is Hayward, CA, but I believe that the Bay Area Rapid Transit Police might also have a dispatch involved.

Anyone who might know how I can find archives that far back would be greatly appreciated.

For something that specific, and based on the fact that RadioReference / Broadcastify only holds archives for 180 days, your best bet will be to file a FOIA request with the agency directly. Even then, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a limited time frame of record retention.
