The Luiton 25 watt just seems to be a mobile substitute. I would hope one of those side buttons are for the power level.

Maybe the thought in mind is somebody using a mag mount temorarily, switching vehicles.

Maybe, but I think that is giving them too much credit. I think it's just an attempt to sell cheap radios to guys who think more RF power is the solution to everything.

There's a sizeable population in this forum who, 1) don't know the rules exist, 2) don't feel the rules apply to them, 3) don't believe they could possibly be interfering with anyone else, and last but not least, 4) don't care.
