Baofeng GT-3WP Question

I have now programmed about 4 channels using the key pad and the 2 meter freq. has always been on
the top in (channel) mode but now its on the bottom line, what did i do to cause this?
Next question is when i go to Freq. mode now to program a new repeater both lines have 2 meter freq.
numerals. New to the baofeng,
thanks in advance

With Baofeng radios, the top and bottom lines aren't locked to a specific band. You should be able to input a frequency on either one and it will switch bands automatically. Just a side note, when inputting a new frequency in VFO mode, you'll have to input it in your top display to be able to save it to your memory channels. I'd recommend using CHIRP with a programming cable to help, as manual programming can be tricky when you're new to Baofengs. Hope this helped!

Thanks CCRS53 for the reply I have bought the cable and the Chirp software, just hesitant to try it out.
worried i might screw up what i have already programed in. LOL Is there a site with good instructions to
use the chirp software.
Thanks
Ronnie
