Measuring Ground Plane Radials

When measuring ground plane radials, do I measure at the 45 degree bend or the entire length including the round attachment point? Will be using a SO239 connector tuned for 155Mhz. Thanks.

I assume you soldered or screwed wire radials the four holes on the connector.
I always measure from the connector center pin to the end of the radial, like the very first diagram on the upper left on the first page of: http://www.repeater-builder.com/antenna/pdf/ground-plane-antennas-for-146-220-440-mhz.pdf.
If you measure it like dimension B in the top diagram on the second page your measurement will be about 1/2 inch short.
At VHF and lower frequencies, 1/4 wave ground plane antena dimensions are not that critical, especially for receive only.

I intend to use nuts and bolts on the radials. Good PDF diagram. Thanks for the info.
