Hello All: This fire broke out yesterday at approx. 2:30 PM and has spread significantly.

What you need to know about the Sand fire burning near Santa Clarita

Just listening in and these are most used frequencies, one of my scanners died due to the 112 F degree heat in the Garage.
Fire:
172.3750
470.4875
122.975

LACS
483.0375

Fire Frightening Traffic reports poor visibility, and one crew leaving an area that will soon take some structures....

Well, take away all the fire breaks we HAD, and massive fires is what you get.

I remember the USFS saying they spent too much on fire breaks... Now how much is all the agencies spending trying to fight these fires.

Channel Names and NIFC?

Does anyone know what frequencies their using for the sand fire WITH Channel names? I know they might be using NIFC CMDs/TACs (National Incident Fire Cache) but not sure. If anyone can confirm that . Or if their using California OES frequencies .
