Keep up the good work.

I use the ARC15PRO software by BuTel to record the tones directly from my
BC-15 to the mike input on the laptop.

Then I use the evaluation version of CoolEdit Pro to play and ID the tones. If you
get the settings right, it work pretty well.

analyzer settings to get accurate readings.

Station 48 should be:
Tone A 1251.3
Tone B 1385.0

Sorry about that. I entered station 65's tones by mistake.

Station 7 works for me. I plugged it in and within 15 mins heard a call for them. Pretty neat feature on the scanner never used it before until you posted these :)

One question I have is because the delay is set to infinite does this mean after a tone the scanner will start hearing everything else since the delay is on infinite? I had this happen after the scanner awoke for a tone out.

By the way I tried the Cool Edit program but am lost on how to find the info from a recording. Do you have some steps or instructions I could try using Cool Edit? I would like to try finding some tones for Hemet Fire and other depts.

Will you please stick to ONE thread regarding CDF toneout information? Thanks.

ETA: I've merged all your threads together.

With the delay set to infinite, you have to push hold/resume to put it back into tone standby mode again or it will pick up every call. The reason I do this is due to the fact that when the tones are sent, the system un-keys and there can be up to a 5 to 15 second gap until the dispatch is broadcast.

When this happens, youwont hear the actual dispatch as the scanner has gone into standby again. I've tried setting the delay to 5 seconds but still missed a few. The BCT-15 only has 1 thru 5 seconds and infinite as options so may have more options on another scanner.

I'll put something together on CoolEdit and post it here,
and yes, I'll keep it in one thread, sorry.

Yup that was the problem I had. Hopefully Uniden can add a 10 or 15 second option in the next firmware since Perris takes a while to put out the dispatch.

Cool Edit tone ID process

attached is a brief word document showing how I use cool edit to identify tone out frequencies. I apologize for the small pictures and lack of more detailed information, but I couldn't get the file size down to what I needed to be able to upload it to this board.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
