Thanks guys! I especially love reading the old electronics magazines (Popular Electronics, Electronics Illustrated, etc.) on there from the '50s, '60s and '70s. Lots of great old projects to build!!

Lol, that's where I've been most of the afternoon. What a site.
Many thanks for sharing.

Radio Shack Catalogs
Those catalogs lead me into purchasing another radio from my past. The TRC-217. I picked one up mint in the box for $15. Unlike the GE radio which was more of a toy, this is/was actually a very capable HH CB.

Now that is something I would purchase. CB handhelds are still being made and sold aren't they? I know Midland made some maybe ten years ago I would say.

Midland still makes and sells CB HH's. I have the 75-822 in my collection, and it's still being sold.

Once I get a job I am unemployed currently. I will buy either the Midland or the Cobra handheld. Maybe a base unit but probably not.

I picked this radio up for under $10 brand new in the original box. I'll probably never use it, but it will proudly be displayed in my radio collection, and I'll smile every time I see it.
My friend got 2 of those for Christmas when we were kids.. What a blast we had with them ! Great flashback !
