Default Portable CB radio with SSB?

I believe some years ago a portable CB radio with SSB capability existed, it wasn't a full 23 channels but maybe 6 or so. Anybody recall the make and model?

I see the Cherokee AH-100 sold for $700+ on Ebay.

There were several combo 10m/CB versions like the Cherokee. I have a Titan Roadpro RPSY-201 which looks identical to the Cherokee that I might put on the market soon.

I remember something about a crystal control SSB handheld from maybe the 70s or 80s but would have to do some searching.

That question has been asked before. Here is that thread.

https://forums.radioreference.com/cb...-unit-ssb.html

I posted a list of Handhelds that have said capabilities.

They're fun to have. Not many people have seen them so when I bring it out to talk,
they look at me funny. Have made many contacts when skip rolls in.

Good luck finding one and have fun.

That Cherokee has a freeband mod. Not an easy one. Surface mount stuff. But it works.

I had a Cherokee back in the 90's. Had to send it back for service twice. Delicate little bugger.
