To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Picked up a realistic trc 56 cb phone . it powers up and transmits but there's no audio in the phone , internal speaker and nothing out the external speaker jack.
Any suggestions where to look or what to check ?

Thanks so much for All your replies.
I did try another brand new RS mic to see if the audio would work . no luck with that tactic. I'll have another look inside to locate the audio ic . Thats got to be the issue .
Thanks All !

I tested the internal speaker and it works fine when i hook it to an external audio .
Still the trc 56 has no audio with mic plugged in and speaker / phone audio button depressed and out .
Is there another audio ic amp besides the TA7222ap ?
I dont see anything like that component .
Thanks for your help !

Hi , I will follow the wires yo the board and look around in that area . Thankyou .
One gentleman said he believes its a 7055 ic on that radio . I will reply back on my findings .
I'll see if I can post a clear pic of the area of the board.
Thankyou,
Craig
