Maybe she was TEXTING dispatch?? Cops can have RADIOS, Computers, CELL Phones and all other distractions after all.

Did you notice the time? Who would expect a ped to be running across a major street at 2:30 AM

The incident is still in the archives (at least for a few more days). It's on Larimer County Sheriff's feed (Oct 23, 2010 2:26am-2:56am at 9 minutes and 40 seconds into the audio file, she (callsign C-233) says, "A pedestrian was just struck by my vehicle at College and Columbia. He ran accross traffic. I need an ambulance Code-3".

She was enroute to a physical disturbance that was occuring nearby at the time. Not distracted, really.
