FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 11/3/10 2123
At approximately 8:24pm a vehicle travelling northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 285 struck a Jefferson County patrol vehicle (SUV). The black Subaru Outback was travelling on Highway 285 between Eagle Cliff Rd. and Turkey Creek Rd. The driver of the Outback was pronounced dead on scene. The deputy was airlifted to St. Anthony’s Central with serious injuries.
Southbound Highway 285 is currently closed, and traffic is being diverted to Turkey Creek Rd.
