Gee why am I not suprised

As reported by the Greeley trib.

Loveland and Windsor firefighters have contained a grass fire started by two teens shooting off bottle rockets south of the Wal-Mart Distribution Center near Weld County Road 13 south of Crossroads Boulevard.

Scott Pringle, deputy fire marshal for Loveland Fire and Rescue, said firefighters were paged to the scene, 3685 N. Larimer County Road 1, around 2:35 p.m. Wednesday. Larimer County Road 1 and Weld 13 are the same roads.

The initial small brush fire grew to a 3-4 acre fire, Pringle said. Firefighters quickly contained it, but remained to check for hot spots.

Pringle issued tickets to two teens, 15, both of Loveland, and their parents. The teens were cited for persons under 16 in possession of illegal fireworks, and not under direct adult supervision. The parents were cited for knowingly furnishing fireworks to persons under age 16, Pringle said.

Pringle said one of the father's of the boys said he bought the bottle rockets and other aerial fireworks years ago in Wyoming.
