Has anyone heard why Loveland FD has a different tone out on TG-5 and why they are toning out on this TG? I thought TG-5 was for in the canyon on Hwy 34. I also hear a different tone out on their TG-1.

I haven't heard why, but I can confirm what you heard (today at 14:28 on my Larimer County Fire and EMS Live Scanner Audio Feed feed.) They prefaced it with "test tone" so my guess would be this has something to do with upgrades to the dispatch consoles (I remember a post about this a little while back but I can only see the last two pages of these posts...) but would be interested to see if anyone else might know why.
They did say the Loveland PD upgrades would go live at the end of this year. Don't know if FD was included though.
