Alpine Rescue & Clear Creek SO looking for a 22 yr old male. Didn't hear exactly where, but it is somewhere near Berthoud Pass or Jones pass......

Don't know if he's lost, or buried ...

They just did a field report to dispatch (CCSO) with the persons life stats, and had them call a doctor at S.A.C. to confirm him dead....

Alpine rescue now calling for a body bag....

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY - A missing back country skier was found dead Tuesday.


Search crews found the skier's body around 8 p.m. in the Butler's Gulch Area near Empire. The skier had been reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities have not released the skier's identity or details about the incident.

Did you see this was John Fielders son, apparent suicide.

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY - The Clear Creek County Coroner's office is expected Thursday to release autopsy results from the death of John T. Fielder III, the son of well known Colorado photographer John Fielder.

Search crews found the body of 26-year-old "J.T", shown above, around 8 p.m. in the Butler's Gulch Area west of Empire. He was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

His father, John Fielder, is a Colorado nature photographer who has published several books and been featured many times on 9NEWS.

Fielder told 9NEWS that his son, who went by "J.T.", had taken his own life in an area of Colorado that he loved.

Fielder lost his wife Gigi to early-onset Alzheimer's disease just last year.

Fielder has two surviving daughters in their twenties.
