The forum does allow files to be uploaded that are compressed with a dot zip extension. So if you can zip'em up and share, that would be swell.

:)

The following link talks about this very subject.

Here are a few more threads on the subject.

Excellent Bill and seeing the map might help folks understand also.

MetroNet Talk Groups Questions

I'm new to and learning about Metro Net. Got some questions. They may or may not make sense. Thank you for any answers, and I appreciate your patience for my ignorance in this area.

"DVU ID" = ?

TG 1697 is Gold 1 ... or not ?
If not, what is Gold 1's TG ?
And, Gold 1 "C&C" = ?

17xx are state TRS IDs, yes ?

22xx are also state TRS IDs ?

13-* IDs are EDACS IDs ?

The acronyms DIF, AUF, WMF, WEF = ?

The acronyms DIF, AUF, WMF, WEF = ?Aurora Fire, West Metro Fire etc. Not sure, maybe where the internet link is.

Ok, first off "Network First" is a title for the entire system. The TG's are used for Mutual Aid (MAC)
"Metro net" is just a title for the "Network First" TG they use for the Metro area and is mainly used like "CLEER"

These TG's are listed in the databases under Network First. The "Blue" are PD, the "Red" are Fire/Rescue, Grey is Federal, and Silver is Glendale and Auraria.

The State DTRS, Conventional systems, and all of the metro area EDACS systems are linked to this, and all of the EDACS systems will show the same TG's.

Here is a complete list of what we currently know-

Title_______DTRS_____EDACS
Metro Net.....3997..........1697
Gold-1.........34903.........1698
Gold-2..........2299..........1699
Blue NE.........2287.........1700
Red NE.........2286..........1701
Blue NW.......2293..........1702
Red NW........2295..........1703
Blue SE.........2298..........1704
Red SE.........2297..........1705
Blue SW.......2290..........1706
Red SW........2288..........1707
Grey-1..........2291..........1708
Grey-2..........2292

The "colors" I get. (The acronyms I don't understand, but I probably don't need to.) But I'm puzzled about the far right column above...EDACS TGs are xx-xxxx, not just xxxx. Also, is (middle column) Gold 1 '34903' accurate for TRS? Seems like there's one too many numbers for a TRS TG. The .pdf I reviewed didn't show EDACS TGs for all, is that a matter of not knowing what they are right now? Thanks for the input, Luke.

EDACS TGs can be in either AFS(xx-xxxx) or Decimal(xxxx) Luke chose to list them in Decimal format vs AFS. I think DEC are easier to remember. :)

34903 is an accurate TG for the DTRS. Look in the RR.com database for each specific system, there you will find the TG's for the Network 1st.
