Speaking of stand-offs, there is one in Fort Collins right now. Channel 1 is primary for this and all other traffic moved to ch-2. I won't go into detail

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- A Highlands Ranch man faces several charges after a standoff with police Saturday evening at his home.

Mark Brown, 50, faces charges of domestic violence, harassment, obstructing police operations and menacing.

Police were called to the Brown's home, located at 10412 Hyacinth Street, just after 7 p.m. Saturday, after a call was made to 9-11.

The Brown family was able to escape the house.

A SWAT team was called to negotiate with Brown after he locked himself in the house and refused to leave. Nearby residences were evacuated as a precaution.

Authorities said no threats were made other than Brown threatening to kill himself. He surrendered to police just after 11 p.m. Saturday night.
