LEADVILLE - Firefighters responded to a four alarm fire Thursday evening.
A 100-year-old synagogue was on fire Thursday at 2nd Street and Pine Street just off of Main Street in downtown Leadville.
The fire began just after 2 p.m. Thursday. Five surrounding agencies responded and were able to knock the fire out. No one was injured.
The synagogue had been converted into apartments but has recently been undergoing renovations to be turned back into a synagogue.
The fire caused significant damage.
