Memorial Weekend Enforcement

Hey folks,
As we approach the Memorial Day weekend, expect the usual sharp increase in traffic enforcement. CSP will have everyone (even the Chief, rumor has it) on the road doing the holiday DUI enforcement as well as seat belt enforcement. Expect significantly more traffic on the DTRS.

Buckle up and please don't drink and drive!

that's no rumor..he works every memorial day weekend, although this year he'll be working the SW corner of the state

Noticed stat's have already started, guess they consider this week holiday enforcement.

All troopers are giving there stat's when they go 10-42.

We started Monday with a Click it or Ticket program, and are going all this week and then through the holiday weekend. Guys are picking up a fair amount of overtime.

I expected to see tons of state patrol in Castle Rock and south to Colo Springs, but only seen a few.

SB 285 holiday traffic is usually from Thursday thru Tuesday on holiday weekends. The guys at the Conifer tire shop told me today they are expecting the usual holiday camper tire failures due to extended winter storage. That's an interesting but logical risk, regardless of location.
