I saw that DTRS talkgroup ID 4083 has been submitted to the database as CSU PD Tac-3 and I just wanted to comment that CSU PD does not have a Tac 3 in any of their equipment and there are currently no plans to add a Tac 3 either. I thought I would let you guys know in case any of you were trying to catch traffic off this ID and were coming up empty handed.

Has anyone logged this ID recently? If not, I can wave my magic wand and make it disappear. Let me know.

Are you sure that it was not 4082? The pack sets, mobiles, and console radios are all programmed for 4024 and 4082 only. The rest of the channels are fort collins and other MAC's. There are no pieces of equipment programmed with 4083 from the CSU fleet.

Yes 4083 is active and being logged but I'm keeping it in my unknown list since I have not been able to identify the agency thru the recordings or radio id's that were logged.

Just to clarify a bit, heres the latest word on 4083. CSU PD is looking into using it for a 3rd channel. There are no plans currently in place and any implementation of said channel may be futher down the road. Currently no radio equipment used by this agency is programmed with 4083 as a channel. I will keep all updated as I recieve more information.

Are they testing on it or anything, because we are still logging it every few days?

Thanks Jim<

I am not entirely certan. I will try to find out and let you all know.

[edit]: I believe that it is being tested in preparation for use. I will try to get a timetable for its implementation out to you all.

Yep, the Astro-25 generation portables (XTS5000 & 2500) are set up as 700/800. I am unsure about the older XTS3k's though. On a trip down the I-25 corridor the radios will affiliate with Site 322 (it shows as Site 22 in the radios' site scanning display) anywhere in the north metro area. I am curious to see if they will affiliate with site 355 now that it is up.
