adapter question

hay peeps i have a pro-95 and i have the serial port cable my problem is my home computer took a dump on me a few days ago and now im working off my new laptop well needless to say it does not have a serial port on it and now im looking for a usb to serial port adapter ant ideas where i can get my hands on one with out ordering it on the net ?

Most all will work fine, just make sure it ships with a driver disk in event your system and OS need it.

For the cost of an adaptor (actually less) you can get the USB cable from RS and just not use the old cable. If you need the converter for other things, good luck with your hunt. I bought a converter two weeks before the USB cable came out, had it working 50% of the time. As soon as I could, I returned it and bought the cable from RS.

I got an adapter at my local Best Buy and it works great all the time. Adkad
