Los Angeles: LAPD Radio System Goes Down for 12-Hours

Los Angeles Police Department radio communications went down for 12-hours on Tuesday. General Services crews were sent to Mount Lee facility (where all LAPD radio communications equipment is housed) - located not far from the Hollywood sign - to test a backup generator. However, the test failed and knocked out all power at Mount Lee, shutting down radio communications placing the public and officers at extreme risk....
